Syftet är att stötta och lyfta lovande talanger inom kommersiell popmusik. I början av juni delades det nyinstiftade priset Denniz Pop Awards ut för allra första gången. För designen av priset står formgivaren, designern och konstfotografen Paul Sundvik Paul Sundvik fick frågan om att få designa priset. - Det var en stor ära att bli tillfrågad och självklart tackade jag ja, säger Paul Sundvik - Encapsulated sound, som jag döpt skulpturen till är en 3 Denniz Pop Awards startades till minne av musikproducenten Denniz Pop som avled 1998 i cancer. För att föra hans arv vidare skapades en välgörenhetsstiftelse år 2013 av kollegor, vänner och familj.
